In a show of compassion and community service, Amb. Dr. Ekwutoziam Ogwus Chinedu, Vice President of the Ogwus Youth Empowerment and Community Development Organization (OYECDO) and Candidate for the Federal House of Representatives, Ahoada East/Abua-Odual Federal Constituency, has distributed gift items to widows and less privileged persons in Edeoha Community.
The outreach, which took place in Edeoha, was described as a gesture of love, kindness and support for vulnerable families in the community.
Speaking during the distribution, Amb. Dr. Ekwutoziam said true leadership goes beyond holding office.
"For me, true leadership is not just about holding a position; it is about touching lives, remembering the vulnerable, and bringing smiles to the faces of those who need encouragement," he said.
"Every gift is a reminder that these women are not forgotten and that compassion remains a powerful expression of humanity."
Beneficiaries, mostly widows and elderly women, expressed joy and gratitude for the support, offering prayers for the donor.
Amb. Dr. Ekwutoziam Ogwus Chinedu further prayed for continued blessings upon all widows and less privileged families in the community, asking God to strengthen their households and replenish all who give to support humanity.
The initiative is part of the humanitarian activities of OYECDO aimed at youth empowerment and community development across Rivers State.
