Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has reacted to a video purportedly showing armed men in Ahoada West, Rivers State, calling on Burna Boy and Soso Soberekon to mediate between them and the government.According to VeryDarkMan, the men expressed willingness to lay down their arms if an amnesty arrangement could be reached through the intervention of the two public figures.
He described the development as unusual and said he would ensure Burna Boy sees the video.
The group’s identity and the claims made in the video have not been independently verified. A recent report also identified the group as “Ekpeye Freedom Fighters” and said they were seeking amnesty and reintegration.
