In a live interview on Rapid 90.7 FM, Hon. Irene Job has urged Nigerians not to be misled, stressing that every citizen has the democratic right to assess the performance of government and make their choices at the ballot.
Hon. Job said democracy thrives on accountability, where leaders are answerable to the people and citizens exercise power through free and credible elections.
"Don’t let anyone mislead you. Nigerians have the democratic right to express their views about the performance of the government and to make their choices at the ballot box," she stated.
She added that the essence of democracy is accountability, noting that Nigerians must remain informed and engaged in the governance process.
"We must remain informed, engaged, and committed to holding our leaders accountable," she said.
