The MMO Pressure Group (MMOPG) has inaugurated its executive committee with a pledge to ensure that the 2027 general elections will be a defining moment where every vote counts.

Speaking at the event, leader of the group, Comrade Christen Uwamuli, said the MMOPG has commenced intensive grassroots mobilisation through the establishment of unit leaders and an expanded executive structure across all levels.
Uwamuli described the 2027 elections as a critical crossroads for Nigerians, noting that citizens must make a clear choice between correcting the failures of the past and perpetuating a cycle of leadership failure, incompetence and impunity.
"We must resist, at all costs, any attempt to deny the people their civic rights," she declared.
Also speaking, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Tayo Osu, stressed the need for inclusivity and sustained engagement with the grassroots. According to her, meaningful political progress can only be achieved when leaders listen to the people and carry them along.
In his remarks, Hon. Manuwa Morgan Ogiri (MMO) commended the passion and vision behind the formation of the pressure group. He assured members that their commitment and sacrifices would not go unrewarded.
Ogiri charged the newly inaugurated executives to remain united and to intensify mobilisation for the ADC from top to bottom as the movement scales up its grassroots campaign ahead of the 2027 polls.
The central message from the inauguration was unequivocal: the people must have a voice, their votes must count, and their mandate must prevail.
