On behalf of the Úpātá Traditional Council (UTC) and the good people of Úpātá Kingdom, HM Ny'údū Dr. Felix Enene Otuwarikpo, fnipr, the Ñyê-ïshï Èlé Úpātá Lôwétü Lî Ny'údū Úpātá III of Úpātá Kingdom, extends heartfelt gratitude to our visitors, dignitaries and sponsors who gathered to celebrate our vibrant heritage at our ancestral home, Ulá Úpātá.
The visible presence of our guests, friends and the Media goes to strengthen the ties that hold our neighborhood together, one that fosters a deeper connection among all who attended.
This year’s Èlé Úpātá (folklore), was a resounding success, drawing an extraordinary turnout that highlights the unity, diversity, and the enduring spirit that exemplifies the Úpātá Community.
His Majesty appreciates the Rt. Hon. Chibudom Nwuche,OFR, HM Eze Kelvin Ngozi Anugwo, Bro Felix Obuah, Hon. Solomon Abuba Ochoma, Hon. Eugene Chita Epele, Hon. Napoleon Ukalikpe, Prince Ogelenye Nwuche, Hon. Isaac Abbot Ogbobula, Dr Moro, and other distinguished sons and daughters of Upata for their support and for joining him in celebrating one of the cultural fabrics of Úpātáland. Their presence, enthusiasm, and shared pride are what makes Úpātá a dynamic Kingdom.
The Úpātá Monarch is full with kind words for members of the Planning Committee because, their tireless hours of planning, setup, and coordination ensures that our cultural legacy continues to thrive. Also, the incredible talents and crafts provided by the various storytelling groups will remain an unforgettable experience.
As we look back on the success of this year's celebration, we are already inspired to begin planning for the 2027 Èlé Úpātá.
The clement weather was a fulfillment of God's love for the Úpātá people.
