Election season has come again. Some will make the right choice, some will make the wrong choice. But in all, Ekpeye remains our home. Without Ekpeye Land, what you think you are in politics is nothing.
To My Leaders in Politics:
I want to advise our leaders who are already in politics and those who want to join, do not fight each other because of politics. When one person wins, it is a victory for the entire Ekpeye Land, not just for a few people.
Let us play this game as a united people. Those other ethnic groups are not better than us.
As you are about to campaign for your various parties, let no Ekpeye man plan evil against his brother. Whoever wins, we have all won.
Whatever you do, please always remember that Ekpeye is your home. Without Ekpeye, nobody will know you and you will not have any platform to contest or get an appointment.
To Our Traditional Rulers:
I appeal to all the traditional rulers of Ekpeye Land to stop supporting one particular political party. You are a royal father to all. Anyone who comes to you for blessings, bless them and stop playing party politics.
To Ekpeye Youths:
Stop insulting your leaders on Facebook all in the name of "boss man." Can your boss man give you a good-paying job instead of using you as a data boy?
If he truly means well for you, tell him to give you reasonable capital to start up a business.
We have many unemployed youths in Ekpeye Land. Try and assist Ekpeye youths. He or she must not be in your party before you assist them.
The major problem we have in Ekpeye is selfish interest. Everybody wants the best for his family alone and not for others.
Let us do away with selfishness and put Ekpeye first.
BUDUZHI EGBE
