Leaders, traditional rulers, political stakeholders, youths and women of Engenni Kingdom gathered in Akinima on Monday, 5th October, 2026, for a grand reception in honour of the Member representing Ahoada West/Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Federal Constituency, Hon. Victor Obuzor.
The reception was organised by the Engenni Progressive Forum.
The event, which drew prominent sons and daughters of the Kingdom, served as a platform to emphasise unity, purposeful leadership and effective representation as critical drivers for the development of Ahoada West Local Government Area.
Speaking at the occasion, the Executive Chairman of Ahoada West Local Government Area, High Chief Hon. Chita Eugene Epelle, JP, commended the President of the Engenni Progressive Forum, Hon. Awori Miller and members of the forum for organising the reception.
Epelle lauded Hon. Obuzor for his contributions to the constituency, particularly his scholarship and empowerment initiatives which he said have positively impacted sons and daughters of Engenni Kingdom.
He also appreciated the traditional institution, elders, political leaders, women and youth groups for their massive turnout, noting that the prayers and traditional blessings offered by the Okilom Opiri of Ogua Clan, HRM Chief Jonathan Okwa, alongside other elders, underscored the premium the people place on peace and collective progress.
The council chairman reaffirmed his administration's commitment to collaborating with federal representatives, community leaders and stakeholders across political divides to attract development and create more opportunities for the people of Ahoada West.
"Together, we will continue to strengthen the bonds that unite us and build an Ahoada West where development reaches every community and our people remain at the centre of governance," he said.
