The lawmaker representing Ahoada East Constituency I in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Dame Hon. Queen Uwuma Tony-Williams, JP, KSC, has joined the Executive Chairman of Ahoada East Local Government Area, Hon. Solomon Abuba Ochoma, on a Thank-You Visit to communities in Ward 11.
The visit was aimed at direct engagement with residents, appreciating their support and strengthening collaboration between the leadership and the communities toward advancing grassroots development.
Speaking during the tour, Hon. Tony-Williams and Hon. Ochoma interacted with community stakeholders, listening to their concerns and reaffirming their commitment to inclusive governance and people-oriented projects.
In response to one of the pressing needs of the people, Dame Tony-Williams approved the construction of a new modern community town hall for Odiemessama community in Ward 11.
The proposed town hall is expected to serve as a befitting venue for community meetings, deliberations, social gatherings and other communal activities.
According to the lawmaker, the intervention is part of efforts to address the infrastructural needs of Odiemessama and to provide residents with a dedicated space to meet, deliberate on common issues and advance their collective interest.
She described the Thank-You Visit as a vital platform for engaging with constituents, acknowledging their contributions to the growth of the area, and reinforcing synergy between the local government administration, constituency representation and the communities.
