The Ekpeye Youth Congress (EYC) Worldwide has recognized the philanthropic works of High Chief (Dr) Amb. Vincent Destiny, Eze Gwuma Eka I of Ekpeye land, with a prestigious Award of Excellence.
High Chief Destiny was presented with the "Award of Excellence on Youth Empowerment" on 22nd August, 2026, for his outstanding contributions to youth development in Ekpeye land.
The award, according to the EYC, is a clear testimony to his unwavering commitment to the growth, development, and empowerment of Ekpeye youths.
For years, High Chief Destiny has been described as a pillar of hope, a mentor, and a bridge-builder. Through his scholarship scheme, skill acquisition programs, business support and consistent advocacy, he has empowered countless young people to discover purpose, acquire skills and take their rightful place in society.
Speaking during the presentation, the President General of Ekpeye Youth Congress Worldwide, Snr. Comr. (Hon) Ewoh Justice, Ph.D, said the Congress recognizes that true leadership is measured by the lives lifted.
He noted that the award celebrates a man whose influence transcends titles - a leader who gives back not for recognition, but out of genuine belief in the future of the Ekpeye Ethnic Nation.
The EYC stated that youth empowerment is more than an inscription on a plaque, but a reflection of the life's work of High Chief (Dr) Amb. Vincent Destiny, who embodies the values of Unity, Progress and Service.
The youth body congratulated the awardee and urged him to be further inspired by the honour, while also challenging other leaders to emulate his commitment to investing in the next generation.
