SP BAKO MURDER: EKPELENI EKPEYE VISITS COMMISSIONER OF POLICE
The Ekpeleni Ekpeye, Ekpeye foremost Socio - Economic, Political And Advocacy Group has visited the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Emeka Nwoyi at the state Police Command, Moscow Road, Portharcourt.
Led by the President, Elder Jonathan Robinson Ewoh with the Secretary, Legal Adviser, and other members, the condolence visit which took place on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, on behalf of the Ekpeye Ethnic Nationality was to commiserate with the CP, his Officers and men of the Nigerian Police Force over the gruesome murder of the Ahoada Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim by suspected cultists.
The CP who commended members of Ekpeleni Ekpeye for the visit however, expressed his reservations at the seeming lackluster attitude of Ekpeye people in assisting the Police with necessary information that will aid the arrest and prosecution of the killers of SP Bako.
The President of Ekpeleni Ekpeye, Elder Jonathan Robinson Ewoh while speaking expressed worry at the continued detention of HIM, Eze Kelvin Ngozi Anugwo, Eze Ekpeye Logbo III of Ekpeye land and appealed for his release so that it would help in their investigations as the Ekpeye people would feel free to give the needed information to their King, that will be working in synergy with the Police.
The commissioner however, said they need more time.
