ASA HOTEL TRAINS STAFF AHEAD OF RE-OPENING

Ahead of resumption of business operations, ASA Hotel, the foremost hotel for serene and premium relaxation in the Ahoada-Abua axis of Rivers State, has embarked on a training program for its new staff.

The training which held on Thursday 12th October 2023, commenced with an opening remark by the Board Chairman of the Hotel’s management company (ASA Hospitality Limited), Mrs. Clara Adikema. In her remark, she gave a history of ASA Hotel, its achievements over the years and how it became a popular brand in the Ahoada-Abua axis of the State. She spoke on the core values of the business and urged the staff to imbibe and be guided by the said values in the discharge of their duties and relationship with guests.

She concluded her remark by emphasizing that staff should always treat guests with respect as they are the reason the hotel has built a good reputation for itself over the years.

Following the opening remark, facilitators took turns to train staff on Customer Service, Finance and Administration, Health management, Safety and Fire Prevention, Security, Employee Code of Ethics and Conduct, Hotel Operations, etc. Facilitators were drawn from organizations and regulators such as Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Ahoada Primary Health Care Centre, Rivers State Fire Service, amongst others.

Speaking with Ekpeye TV reporter after the training, the Managing Director of the Hotel’s management company, Mr. Chizhim Adikema, expressed excitement that the hotel was close to resuming operations after suspending its operations 4 years ago. In his words, "since the Hotel’s founder, Late. Chief (Hon). Dr. Ndubuisi Adikema JP, established ASA Hotel about 19 years ago, ASA Hotel grew over the years to be the preferred hotel for serene and premium relaxation.

It was quite unfortunate that we were constrained to suspend operations a few years ago, partly due to security challenges at that time and subsequently, the demise of our father, the founder of the Hotel.

The good news, however, is that we are resuming business and now here to serve our customers better. To ensure the safety of our guests, we have entered strategic partnerships with security agencies within Ahoada axis. On behalf of the management of ASA Hotel, I wish to use this opportunity to express our profound gratitude to all our customers and well-wishers who have constantly reached out to us within the period our operations were suspended, seeking to know when the Hotel would resume business. They are the reason the Hotel’s management left no stone unturned in ensuring that the Hotel is re-opened.

On the date of resumption of business operations, Mr. Adikema stated that the Hotel would be resuming operations in the coming weeks and promised that the exact that of resumption will be made public. He also promised that the hotel will be offering unbeatable discounts to welcome back its esteemed customers when it re-opens soon.
