Ekpeye Supreme Monarch Inaugurates Flood Data Collation Committe

~ Charges Committee Members To Submit Report Within 2 Weeks

The Eze Ekpeye 111 of Ekpeye Land, His Imperial Majesty, Eze Kelvin Ngozi Anugwo has reconstituted and inaugurated a Post Flood Data Collation  Committee 

Inaugurating the Committee at his Palace In Ula Upata community, Ahoada East LGA of Rivers State, Eze Anugwo informed that High Chief ThankGod Okedike and Chief Ibezhim Green Ogbuleka remain the Chairman and Secretary of the Committee.

The Ekpeye monarch said the Inauguration ceremony became necessary to ascertain the number of lives lost, number of destroyed buildings and farmlands in Ekpeye land during  the period under review

He charged members to collate accurate data that Ekpeye people will use as a working document to pursue help from Government, Non Governmental Organizations, International Donor Agencies and all asundry.

The Eze Ekpeye Logbo the third called on the good people of Ekpeye Ethnic Nationality to assist the Committee members to realize set objective.

While promising to donate seedlings including cassava stems to Ekpeye farmers who are now grappling with Stark realities, the Chairman of Eze Ekpeye Logbo In Council appealed for more donations to assist victims as they move back to their damaged homes and farmlands.

Responding, the Chairman of the Committee, High Chief ThankGod Okedike thanked the Eze Ekpeye Logbo for finding them worthy to serve and promised to deliver on the job description

High Chief Okedike who rendered account of how the flood committee functioned during the flood era noted that relief materials and cash donated were adequately distributed among the IDP Camps established in Ekpeye.

He called for support to enable the Committee perform optimally.

Other members of the Committee drawn among the six kingdoms that make up Ekpeye Ethnic Nationality are High Chief Rowland Ebeledhi, His Royal Highness Eze David Chigemerem, Comrade Ogboka Chris Umeda, Dr. Ukalabuchi Iloma, Chief Mbadiwe Iche and Samuel Olimini.

Also on the committee are 

Elton Alali, Emmanuel David, Chidom Otuza, Monday Princewill Evergreen and Eyee Ikporo.
